Bloody Boredom
Inspired by late-night conversations and indulgent scenario building, Haley created the idea for 'Bloody Boredom' alongside her best friend and roommate, Greta.
​Set in a Victorian-Gothic world ruled by blood-sucking demons, this story delves into the dark elegance of royal customs, covens, and cults steeped in necromancy. Told through two intertwining first-person perspectives, it follows soulmate best friends whose fates unravel amid desire, betrayal, and the haunting pull of power. With three entangled love interests and a monarchy built on blood and secrets, their bond will be tested as they uncover what it truly means to love—and to survive—in a world where death is never the end.

About Haley Ellefson
Haley wrote her first story at the age of 6, and since then has always had one churning in her mind. Growing up, she wrote under a pseudonym and started many novels, all inspired by the popular Young Adult books of her time. Her fiery passion for storytelling showed no signs of fading; instead, flourishing in the creation of ‘Heretics & Hearsay’, her debut novel. Born and raised in Minnesota, Haley lives in Minneapolis with her best friend and their two cats, Louanne and Willard. When she isn’t writing—which is not often—Haley enjoys goin on walks, playing video games, watching film and anime, and spending time with family and friends.
